Venture Advisory
The work between a good investment thesis and an institution that can actually raise on it.
Emerging managers rarely fail on thesis. They fail on the packaging around it: a deck that answers the wrong questions, a track record presented without attribution, a structure that a Swiss family office cannot underwrite. We work on that layer, from the manager side and from the founder side.
Concrete outputs.
The narrative, the deck and the data room seen from the allocator's side of the table: what a DACH family office or fund-of-funds will ask, in the order they will ask it, and what evidence closes each question.
Management-company economics, GP seeding and anchor arrangements, carry splits between founding partners. We model the arrangement before it is papered, not after.
For portfolio companies and founders raising in or from Europe: term-sheet interpretation, cap-table implications, and an honest read on whether the round is fundable as framed.
Where it fits, we take an ongoing venture-advisor or advisory-board seat rather than a one-off project, so the work compounds across a fund cycle instead of stopping at delivery.
Five years on the allocator's side.
The perspective here is not a founder's and not a placement agent's. It comes from five and a half years in Swiss institutional private markets at Swisscanto and Zürcher Kantonalbank, including hands-on evaluation of more than a hundred startups and fund opportunities. We know what a committee memo has to survive, because we wrote and read them.
That sits alongside the India mandate the rest of this practice is built on. For managers deploying into India, or Swiss investors looking at Indian GPs, the two halves reinforce each other: the same relationships that source distributors and talent also surface fund and company opportunities early.
Is this for you?
Emerging fund managers preparing a first or second close, founding teams working out management-company economics, and founders raising from European investors who want the allocator's read before the meeting rather than after it.
We are not a placement agent and do not market funds to investors for a fee. Where an introduction genuinely fits both sides, it happens under the separate India fund access mandate, on agreed terms.
